Are you someone who needs to bridge a gap in your collection, develop it in a new direction or build it from scratch?  RJ Fine Arts can guide you.  We will discover your interests and make suggestions that suit your goals.  As part of the process, we will consider pieces you already own and suggest ways to create depth in less developed areas to make your collection more cohesive. Then we investigate offerings on the primary and secondary market to locate the right pieces to fill in gaps or expand your collection in a new direction.  Our goal is to help you make an informed choice.

If you have a collection, is it recorded on a database?  Is it in storage or displayed in a place that will maintain its material integrity?  You must have good record keeping, proper storage as well as correct display that will maintain the art's integrity.  You may also need conservation on pieces showing signs of distress.  Artwork needs proper care and maintenance, which also includes proper insurance coverage to protect against the unexpected whether in your home or in transit.  We can help catalogue your collection as well as recommend ways to make sure your artwork is protected.

Suppose you want to replace something you inherited with something more reflective of your own taste, or perhaps you need to downsize your collection, what do you do?  First, we appraise the work to determine value and then identify how best to sell the work in a timely and financially beneficial manner.  We can help give you the financial freedom to allocate your resources elsewhere or even toward another acquisition.

"Art objects are inanimate sad bits of matter hanging in the dark when no one is looking. The artist only does half the work; the viewer has to come up with the rest, and it is by empowering the viewer that the miracle of art gains its force." - Vik Muniz
